Liberal Media
Why is it we always here about the downside of drinking and driving from the liberal media, but never the positive side? Just once I want to read "Local Man Drinks 12 Cabo Wabo Shots and Drives in Excess of 105MPH, Arrives Home Safe." You only hear about the fucking accidents, not the positives.
8zero8's post made me think. Our rights are being taken away daily. Montana doesn't have any more accidents then California, New York or Texas (per capita). How can this be? They allow open containers and have no speed limits on many roads. According to the media, GEICO and M.A.D.D. speeding and alcohol are the cause of all the countries problems. Misdirected anger if you ask me. Most accidents are cause by fucking idiots in SUV's driving to slow or too fast or talking on the cell phone or smacking the brat in the back seat. The media loves this shit.
There's a famous (if you watched Bonanza anyway) little 150 year old Gold Rush town near me that has always allowed drinking on the streets. It was cool, you could bar hop without having to slam your drink to go to the next one. There weren't many fights, the locals were all hardcore dirtbags, rednecks or bikers, yet everyone was cool. What happened? Fucking Bay Area Professionals and homos. This area now has an average home price of $750K and is the Castro St. of the Sierras. Half the population is gay and the other half are from the somewhere on the Peninsula (SF, Palo Alto, Redwood City, etc.). They all own fucking antique shops and bistros, everyone one of them.
The first thing they do when they move is try to convert everything to what they left. Lower the speed limits, no smoking anywhere, set noise laws, make fun of the locals (I did this too), and (drum roll) eliminate drinking in public! What the fuck? Why did they move. Why am I talking about this?
It's the same in Montana right now. I have three very good friends from Montana, they have all moved away due to rising property and "manbitches" from back east and Los Angeles takign over. WHat are they doing in Montana? Lowering the speed limits and eliminating open containers even though their is no proof that this is dangerous. Just an assumption that it's dangerous. Think about that. It's never been proven that drinking a beer behind the wheel while speeding will cause an accident.
We need to do something about this and I nominate Drunkard to lead us. He has a violent, pro-alcohol, forward thinking attitude (and he's unemployed anyway).
